Statement in English Regarding Eid Milan 2023 Incident
NOTE
On 30 April 2023, we had a nice get-together celebrating the spirit of peace and harmony in the aftermath of Eid-ul-Fitr. Towards the end of our Eid Milan 2023 programme, two or three people tried to create a controversy over the noble and harmonious gathering, especially by misinterpreting a poem read out there by a participant.
As the audience objected to such an attempt at creating nuisance, some of us felt it was wrong to allow them to malign the spirit of the programme. The programme continued after the persons were led out of the hall and the programme came to an end.
After the programme was over, some video clips of the incident with some comments were circulated in social media with the sole purpose of maligning the image of the organizers. Now, it appears that the controversy was created with a plan and the person(s) concerned came with a mischievous intention.
We work for the community and people and will keep doing so. We reassure all that such cowardly attempts will never be successful to deter our pledge and activities for the community and society.
