The two-day long Annual Conference of Bengali Academia for Social Empowerment (BASE) ended at Rabindra Tirtha (near Biswa Bangla Gate) New Town, Kolkata on 26th Nov, 2023 with a note of confidence and renewed inspiration.
The Annual Conference 2023 was divided in two parts, online mode and offline mode and was organised in collaboration with the Department of English, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar College, Nadia.
The theme of the aforesaid Annual Conference 2023 was “Muslim Life and Culture in Colonial Bengal”.
Apart from Research Scholars, Key Speakers, and other participants, around forty faculty members from different Universities and Colleges, participated in the conference, enriched the discussions, and made it a success.
Apart from all other activities, BASE is organising an Annual Conference dedicated to discussion on subjects revolving around various aspects of the lives of Bengali Muslims. In the aforesaid conference, a demand was raised by participants for organising zonal or regional conferences for the dissemination of ideas emerged in such conferences.
